PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
2010-2022 Seventeen years of professional experience working with leading artists, designers, craftsmen and organizations in the creative field, both in India & abroad. Taught at NID Ahmedabad, NID Kurukshetra, Pearl Academy of Fashion, Ansal University and University of Portsmouth. Worked with the British Council, Max Mueller Centre, CEE etc. Designed for NGOs such as Panchachuli and Jan Jagaran Samiti. Worked with leading Fashion Designers like Abraham and Thakore and the Sarabhai family of Ahmedabad as a textile designer. Transitioned from Textile Designer and Educator to fulltime Artist, since 2010, along with teaching assignments with various universities.

2003 Design workshops for the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Govt of India. Aim was to help rural women/leprosy rehab patients to become self-sufficient by training them at weaving, knitting, etc
2002-03 Design Consultant for India's highly acclaimed designer duo, David Abraham & Rakesh Thakore (http://www.abrahamandthakore.com) for the Autumn/Winter '03 Collection. ABRAHAM & THAKORE is a Delhi based fashion label with a huge international presence.
Worked with NGO 'Panchachuli Women Weavers' and 'Jan Jaagran Samiti' at Almora, Uttarakhand, India, training women in new designs of products being made by them. Being located in the Himalayas, I worked hence worked with wool and nettle fibre. (www.panchachuli.com).
2001 Senior Designer for Rajka Designs Pvt. Ltd. Designed craft-based contemporary collections as a part of the efforts for rehabilitation of artisans after the deadly Gujarat earthquake of 2001.
COLLECTIONS
Menon’s work is currently part ofmany private collections in India and abroad. Her work can be found in the collections of Reliance Industries, Boston Consulting Group, Swapan Seth, Hanut Singh, Mehr Jesia, Mozez Singh, Sanjiv Bijli, Vayu Garware, Noelle Kadar, Komal Basith and others.
