Srishti’s work is drawn from an internal urge to connect to the subconscious. She sees the universe as an abstract construct and all of us as one energy field that takes form and joins back into the same source. Her quest is to search for truth and equilibrium with a deep sense of commitment to the environment, the world we live in and its collective subconscious. Srishti is concerned also with the relationship between painting and the spiritual. Is it possible to touch that realm through the process of painting?

The work is intensely personal and often large scale. It is a process of finding and experiencing the painting while making it. The work is also rooted in the society’s collective subconscious trying to find its peace and equilibrium, while living through some very volatile times.
